SAVE OUR VOLUNTEER FIRE/EMS DEPARTMENTS
Due to the actions and plans of the Jefferson County Commission in creating a new ambulance fee that only benefits County Paid Emergency Services, not to mention a new tax on the residents of Jefferson County, our volunteer Fire/EMS Departments are in danger.
Now the County Commission is also proposing a “revenue sharing” plan which takes money from volunteer departments and gives it to JCESA, insuring increased fees on the residents and guaranteeing the end of our Volunteer Emergency Service.
Every single action taken by the Jefferson County Commission is nothing less than an attack on our volunteer services in an attempt to grow the size and scope of government, which leads to increased fees and taxes with inferior services.
– We the undersigned hereby support our local VOLUNTEER Emergency Services and thank them for decades of service to our community;
-We the undersigned oppose any new or increased FEE and/or TAX for emergency services put forth by the Jefferson County Commission;
-We the undersigned oppose any “revenue sharing” plan which takes money from volunteer Fire/EMS departments;
